Default is it ok to ride on the bumpstops?

i just picked up a set of koni yellows for my ground control, so i made the koni ground control setup, it looks sortof like a full coilover setup. anyway, first off, i was riding very low, like slammed at the lowest i could get it, when i realized that i wanted to handle better, and i didnt want to blow my new $500 investment right off the bat. So i raised my car up about an inch, and i checked to see how much travel i have and im still riding on the bumpstops WTF? so im just wondering if its ok to ride on the bumpstops because i see a lot of people here who are approximately the same drop as me. And will Koni yellows be able to take such a drop for a long period of time? thanks.

and just for the record, i am in love with these shocks, they make my car handle and ride like a dream.

Did you trim the bumpstops? It is NOT ok to ride on them. This will damage your shocks and pride!

NO.

The bumpstops are at the end of your suspension travel. Riding on them effectively limits how well your suspension can react as you drive down the road. This will not only damage the suspension components, but it is also DANGEROUS. Just because others are doing it does not make it ok.

Its not good, very dangerous and will make your new setup wear out faster.
