Oil burn / consumption? Experts Help!!!!!!!
Ok here's the deal
I have a 94 integra ls with jdm b18c dropped in.
I burn leaks consumes or whatever, about 1 quart of oil for every 300 or so miles. or about a tank of gas.
I can't figure out what it is. I have the following done to it
1. Changed out all valve seals and check all valve guides. They're ok.
2. Changed pcv valve.
3. Changed oil pan gasket.
4. Checked compression. 210 across the cylinders.
Help!!! Someone said that I could have piston ring problems. Specifically my compression rings could be fine but my oil scrapper ring might be damaged. Could that be true?
Or could it be an oil leak somewhere else. I do find oil about the engine bay, but I can't figure out where it's coming from. I thought it was oil pan gasket, but I just changed it and it's fine. And there's nothing on the floor of where I park.
Need help desperately. Thx

It is possible for your oil control rings to be stuck but your compression rings to be fine. Is the car blowing blue smoke on acceleration?
have you checked the valve cover gasket, the valve cover grommets, and the distriputor seals? i know these are common leak points on older hondas, so i'm assuming that this would apply here as well...
thx for the reply guys.
It's not blowing blue smoke. It's does have some smoke but just a little and not blue, my tuner dude says its because it's running rich.
I'll check the other gaskets and seals.
I'm using 10w40 right now. I'll try 10w30.

If my oil control rings are stuck is there an easy way to fix it or does the engine have to be torn apart?
Thx guys.

If you've changed the valve seals already than it means that you've already changed the headgasket, valve cover gasket, I/E man. gaskets, vtec solenoid gasket and all other gaskets in the head which would eliminate the possibility of those. As aforementioned, you've changed the oil pan gasket eliminating that possibility as well, you can try these as well:
Oil filter housing seal - inspect for leaks at the sandwich plate between the filter and the block.
Oil pressure sending unit - There's a slight chance in hell that this would leak, but it doesn't hurt looking.
Invisible pinhole in oil pan, look to see if your pan starts crying while the car is idling.
Hole in block - I once found a small hole behind my a/c bracket, it was leaking, but the bracket slowed the process.
Front and rear main seals, oil pump, and distributor o-ring.

I've had good luck with GM top engine cleaner. Directions are on the can.

I think someone said GM upper engine cleaner which is good or you can add a quart of trans fluid to your oil or marvel mystery oil (basically anything high in detergent) - assuming that they are stuck due to sludge or varnish, if they are damaged they will need to come out.
