On your next oil change, try some STP oil leak stopper, it may help.

With comp readings like that, are you sure its oil burning, and not soot/richness burning off? Are you seeing your oil level significantly go down between checks?

X2, how old are your o2 sensors? If they are bad than can make you run rich.

valve guides. usually with hondas thats what goes before rings. thats what i've noticed anyway. especially with that kind of compression. probably the valve guides. how much oil does burn off? do you have any leaks too?

the motor has been in the car for about 2 weeks in those 2 weeks this will be the third quart of oil i have add'd. it's throwing "blue smoke" out at anything over 3500 and smells like burnt oil as if the piston rings were bad.

haha oh dang thats more than i thought. yeah i would give er hell and change the rings you dont really need to get it re honed unless its terrible. most hondas run just fine with a glaze breaker hone run through them. thats what i did on mine and it sealed perfect. i had my car ripped apart and put back together in about 7 total hours. it was all in one day so its not to hard. mind you that ive pulled that thing apart like 4 times already but its pretty easy as long as you have some sort of mechanical know how

pulled the pvc valve out and it idled higher, and i thought it kinda quit smokin some not sure, i need to drive it more to find out, but with the pvc valve out the intake was sucking air through the valve when i put my finger over it i could hear it click. there was also air coming out of the valve cover. i'm guessing this is normal?
