obd2b to obd1 scan tool cannot communicate
I have a 00 GS-R, today I swap my p72 for a stock p28 with a conversion harness and I connected a scan tool and cannot read while it could read with the stock p72..
is the harness causing this? any fix?

Get yourself an OBD1 scan tool. OBD2 uses a different program language.
If you don't have an OBD1 scan tool and your just looking to read codes. You could jump the ECU Pin D4 (SCS) to D22 (ECU ground). That way you can read the CEL flashes if there are any codes stored. If pin D4 is wired than there should be a 2 pin connector somewhere that you can jump to read the codes.
I'm not 100% but if you can find a blue 2 pin SCS connector under the dash, jumping that would be the same as jumping the ECU pins. As long as the conversion harness is complete with the D4 pin wired. But I'm not familiar with the 00 GS-R. I don't know if it has one or not??????
