Icon2 OBD2 to OBD1 conversion

Sorry to bring a thread back from the dead, but do any of you guys know if an OBD1 engine harness will work with an OBD2 motor? I have a 00 (OBD2)GSR swapped eg and I have done the step down conversion to OBD1 but Im considering ordering another engine harness mainly because the guy that did it for me did a hack job that leaves me a bit skeptical. Or would it be better to order another obd2 harness? Thanks guys

You would use an OBDIIb engine harness to match your '00 dash harness. The only part of your setup that is OBD1 is the ECU itself, and it is adapted at the ECU plugs.

Should've said this earlier, but it is a 00 OBD2b GSR motor in a 93 Civic DX hatch shell. I am currently running a p28 with a GSR basemap.

Depends on what type of injectors, distributor, and alternator you have. If you converted everything to obd1 than find an obd1 engine harness. You'll have to give us more details. It be a big waste if you got the wrong harness and had to do more conversions, which leads to more bad hack jobs.

As I know my distributor is OBD1 , as for the alternator and injectors I'm not a hundred percent positive. I think they're the injectors/alternator that came out of my GSR so they should be converted to run obd1. Tomorrow I'll go out and double verify on the alternator.

Man, its gonna be hard to fine a good condition obd1 integra harness, or an obd1 civic harness.
