OBD2 to OBD0 conversion....NEED HELP!!!
I have an 89 crx si and its still OBD0 and i wanted to get a GS-R swap for it. I was wondering though if I could convert the engine to OBD0 status using an OBD0 dizzy and injectors and ECU and O2 sensor? is this possible or would I have to conert the car to OBD1 status? and if the engine i happen to get is made for OBD2 what would I then have to do?
well what u need to do is convert the plug on the distrib and the injectors (either get obd0 injectors or get obd2 plugs) to obd0, if u change from obd2 to 0, then there jsut going to be many sensors that are not plugged in

hey, wow..i just bumped my thread up like 5 seconds ago. well when you convert your distributor to obd0, the colors look the same but do not share the same purpose. in this link, theres a chart that will help you out with the colors.

so if i just swap out the eniter distributer for an OBD0 one and use OBD0 peak and hold injectors and an OBD0 ECU then it should work, right?
The alternator plug is different too on the OBD2 so you'll need to swap plugs over onto the OBD2 alternator. Also for the O2's you'll either need to get an exhaust manifold with two bungs welded into it or get an ECU with the 2nd O2 removed. Also you'll have to rewire the fan switch, on the OBD0 its on the back of the block, and on the obd1/2 is on the thermostat housing. Also you'll have to figure something out with the IABS. Personally I would just convert everything to OBD1 at the ECU and swap the plugs at the dizzy over from your old motor and plug it in to your factory harness.
yeh i agree , u can get a ecu jumper for around 100-150 that comes with the ness wires but u will still need to convert the plugs on dist, alternator ect to fit the OBD0 or put the OBD2 plugs on there, either way, there is going to be some cutting and rewiring, good luck

alright now im kinda confused. if i get an OBD1 ecu conversion harness and use an OBD 1 ecu will that work? and if the motor is OBD2 then i would have to swap the dizzy plug to OBD1 also rit?
