OBD-I and OBD-II questions.. help.
what year did honda switch to OBD-II
what are the differences (electronic and mechanical) between OBD-I/II?
how can i test an ecu to see if it's OBD-I or II, as well as find out what year it is?
what are the major differences in the engine that i can see to immediately tell them apart?
all help is appreciated greatly..
TIA ..

They (hondata) do conversions though. I asked them about getting it for my b18c5... they said that I would have to get an obd-1 conversion which eliminates the second o2 sensor and the knock sensor if I'm not mistaken.... I could be wrong about the knock sensor though.

Any ECU in the above table will drive the Type R, but features may be lost. For example a P28 from a Civic Ex will drive the Type R engine, but will not use the knock sensor. The Type R intake has no secondary runner, but the P72 ECU will give no error on this car.
