About the loosing oil, either it is leaking it or burning it, one or the other. If it is very slow consumption then you could be burnung it and not really notice anything out of the exhaust pipe. Our engines do tend to consume small amounts of oil when they spend a lot of time at WOT. Places to check for leaks would be the cam seals, both under the timing belt cover and especially by the VTEC solenoid (both quite slow leaks). Also chech that there is absolutely no oil or traces of wet oil around the drain plug (can be a fast or slow leak). You might also want to chech the PCV valve to make sure it is not clogged. If that gets clogged you can build up excessive oil pressure which would cause blowby which would be bad for your rings as well as burning more oil than normal. Other than that if it is not a lot of oil I wouldn't really worry about it. A normal amount of oil would be around 1/4-1/2 a quart between oil changes, or every 3000 miles. HTH.

The harder you drive the more oil you burn.

if the cat was clogged or PCV that would cause lots of blowbye, if you are not venting your crankcase properly the bottom rings on your pistons wont seal, if you put a filter on your valve cover take it off and replace the hose to intake.if the cats clogged it may fill with oil and thats why it doesnt burn. if the motor was beat on you may want to have guides examined but dont do anything untill you take care of a compression test and even a leakdown test.
