Default O-ringing vs step decking a block?

Well basically I know what o-ringing is, but it seems with large bores you cant do it. Golden Eagle offers to step deck your block in these cases, I've emailed them aksing about it but I havent got a response yet. Anyone care to enlighten me on how it works and what they do? And prices if possible. Thanks.

step deck is when you have the sleeves raised .002-.003 above the rest of the
deck providing extra pressure when the head is bolted down.

Thanks for the info. So since I have already sleeved the block I can't step deck it can I?

Also, if I can and I get it done. Is there a special head gasket I need to use or do I just treat it as a regular block/head and I dont have to do anything special?
