i dont have a sending unit at all jsut an electronic gauge.... could this be my mystery problem??? it kinda makes sense what do the rest of you think?

weird question but with a SOHC if the check engine is on does vtec engage, i know with a b-series it matter but don't know about a Sohc.

but to ur problem oilpump any good? oil pickup bent? my old electric gauge didn't work for crap. at WOT it just when past 100psi were it wasn't reading. and at idle it was at 0 psi. do u need a knock senor to run aem's program?

any one else think that it could be the oil pressure sending unit .. cuz i dont even have obne at all and i have some peole telling me it could be a problem and others saying it has nothing to do with it./

LMA install gone bad.

It's happened to me before. Make sure the cam caps aren't backwards or in the wrong place, also make sure the cam rails are in the right place, take out your LMAs, inspect them and reinstall them, but before you tear into it, make sure your timing belt isn't the problem.

well truthfully the LMA's are the lst thing we replaced(with the springs and retainers) and also it was the last known time that vtec worked...(before install)) how exactly could they be in wrong .. what would i ahve to look for?

also with them being installed wrong ... that means vtec wouldnt work?,... thanks for all the info and help guys.

any more ideas.??? i think im gonna rip the head apart and check the lil rocker arm pins.... is there a way to check with out taking everything apart?

Did you pull your rocker arms out when you changed your LMAs? You didn't have to.

Take your cams out, then flip your rocker arms up and make sure your LMA install goes perfectly this time, then pay attention to your cam caps/rails, if you install them backwards or the dowels are bent/smashed in, VTEC won't work.
