Default no VTEC ,,, help me

i made two thread because i thought that this forum would be better to put it in than forced induction so if any one complains then mods please delete the one in FI

ok well i have a built ls/vtec turbo. i built this car a long time ago sold it and it got whored around for a while and now i finally got it back. but now vtec doesnt work.
i have plenty of oil pressure and i have the aem showing that vtec is getting power but it isnt working. i changed the solenoid and all that .. i even hooked it up to a battery and it made the click . but i still dont get VTEC .. this is a big problem because the car falls on its face after 7k when i use to have it it would pull all the way to 10K... any ideas or sugestions?

you take your vtec solenoid off... and inside it theres a DOWEL in there.. you'll see it... but if theres a big hole then you dont have one..

You replaced that dowl pin in the center cap? Cause' I think that's where the rocker assy. gets its oil from for VTEC.. Also did you take a look at the cams themselves? Might be a long shot but what kinna cams are they? I had a guy up here in Vegas who had crower cams in his LS/VTEC w/a GSR head and he also had no VTEC.. Took the cams out and the VTEC lobe was pretty much grounded down to the same lift height as the non VTEC lobes...

Pull the VC off and just have a look that the VTEC lobes.. worth a shot..

Hey, check your VTEC oil pressure sensor. Mine is in and out. I have NO CEL's and plenty of oil pressure. The switch just thinks there isnt, and once in a while it cuts out VTEC. Try it, apparently they fail on occasion. Its a normally closed switch (correct me if Im wrong) so pull it out and run an ammeter on it for continuity. Ryan
