NO VTEC

Default NO VTEC

Ok im basically fed up with ******* with vtec on my gsr. ive rewired all vtec related switches and sensors and it still wont engage. code 21 vtec solenoid is in but i tested the solenoid and it clicks just fine but still wont engage. wtf is going on here?

u may want to do an oil change to it and you may also want to check your oil pressure if you have not already done so....

has the head been apart? the shaft that the rockers are on has pins in it. If the pins arnt there u wont have vtec. Just a idea

well oil is fine. the problem now is that my vtec solenoid keeps showing a cel. BUT i tested it and it still clicks so i hardwired it strait to the ecu and it still throws a code

ecu itself come have something wrong with it....it could happen.

i have my stock gsr ecu as well as a chipped p28. on the p28 it dont show up as a cel but still no vtec

drive down the road with a voltage meeter on the vtec seloniod and se if the selinoid is getting voltage if not then its eather another sensor or your ecu or wiring if it is getting power its most likely selonoid i dont think u would get a cel if your rockers werent put in right the computer wouldidnt be able to tell.

ok my vtec solenoid is perfect this i no for a fact. ive tested it numerous times. the problem im having is that the ecu signal isnt reaching the solenoid to activate it. i have the solenoid wire extended all the way to the jumper harness so its bypass all plugs and should be working like a charm but it isnt

all right folks figured out that i had my positive wire from my vtec solenoid crossed with the postive from my oil psi switch. thanks to help from BuleHatch00 everything hauls just fine

you may have a bad ground on the solenoid. if ground is good go and double check make sure you wired it in the right ecu pin.

not trying to sound like an *** but check my previous post, i fixed it already. besides the vtec solenoid doesnt have a ground wire since it grounds it self
