Default vtec not engaging

my friends friend typeR (1998 integra typeR) vtec doesnt engage.He was wondering what he should check for to fix it

First and easiest thing to check is the oil level. Vtec is oil pressure actuated. If the oil is too low, no vtec.

Make sure is warmed up and check the oil level.

Most likely oil level, happens to me, if not check vtec solenoid.

Yep... not very hard to fix. No VTEC sounds like a big problem but there most of the time is a very simple solution. Good luck.
