no spark!
i went and just got done doing a compression test, the #2 plug wire came apart on the plug, and since i ddint have anything to pull it out with i tested the other three. i got over 200for all of them. i put it back together, and no spark! my cars dead, and i pulled a plug and it smells like theres gas geting to it, but when i turn it over theres no spark. i pulled the cap and rotor off, and everything *looks* fine but i need to know which wires to look for a signal on. BTW its a b16
If you didn't unplug the ECU fuse or disable the ignition system in some other way, you've probably blown your ignition coil and ignitor. Those two items should be <$250 from the dealer.
i got the cap off and im testing wires ... i got a solid light on the black/yellow stripe (thi is inside the cap) and the other wire that goes to the ign coil (yellow/green stripe) gives me a solid light when acc is on and when turned over flashes . so the coil is bad, right? i dindt get a signal out of the coil : / ok i just ran uot and with the coil out and unplugged, it gives me no signal on the yellow/green but a steady light on the black yellow with the coil unplugged. is the module bad or just the coil?
