Spark plug wire disconnected while at wot, can this cause damage?

Default Spark plug wire disconnected while at wot, can this cause damage?

WHile at wot spark plug wire disconnected from distributor cap plus i drove for few minutes until gas station. can this cause damage?

yeah mine did the same thing with MSD wires, i had to put some clamps on the boot, til my NGK wires came in,

only thing it will do is cause it to run like **** shouldnt mess up anything

Yes it can, but it likely won't. What I mean by that is every time a spark is commanded but does not happen, (due to conditions like you described) it increases the electrical stress and thermal stress within the ignitor module. These modules are designed to take a reasonable number of these events. The condition is harder on the ignitor module than when a spark occurs to "use up" the energy stored in the coil. If there is not a spark, the stored energy in the coil is dissipated in the ignitor module.

A couple minutes, your car is probably ok, but if you drove for any length of time like that with a catalytic converter, it would be damaged by the air/ fuel burning in it. glowing cat=not cool
