So i assembled my tranny a LS cable for my CRX project and put new diff bearings and a LSD in it.Assembly went fine it is pretty straightforward if your not doing any syncros etc and i have done a couple.I tested it on the bench seamed to shift through the gears fine so i installed it with the engine a couple weeks later.Now that it is in the car i was cutting and welding the Teg linkage to fit and found I could only shift into 2,4th and reverse.I thought at first i had cut the linkage to short but upon unhhoking it and trying to shift the tranny by hand found this problem.Anybody have any insight as to what has happened?I'm assuming something in the change holder has popped loose or similar.It shifts really nice through second,fourth and reverse it is crisp and solid feeling just no 1,3 or 5 gear Im about to pull it back but this sucks as a 6 month project was just about finished and i just got my new ign coil in today to fire it up and break the new engine in

 

It's something in the shift rod mechanism, time to pull the tranny

make sure you have fluid mine was hard to shift dry

 

Yes it has Honda MTF in it.Im going to drop it out tonight.Some days I wish i was into collecting stamps instead of building turbo Hondas
