the compression test was like i siad fine, after i swapped the new head, on and the firing order is as follows 1342 plugs are gapped properly, and the plug wires a new ngk plug wires, timing is dead on... but as soon as we start to crank it just pops an backfires like the dizzy is 180 out??????

sometimes some "dizzys" which is a distributor right, anyway sometimes the rotor inside is 180, also swap the firing order from 1342 to 4213 it worked on my friends car. last guess is the timing belt is off

thats the only thing i can think compression is great, i mean i am running stock injectors, timing is dead on, an everything else checks out along with not having any cel so i was figuring wtf could i be 180 out??? any other theories would help....

Do what I said with the dist. cap and rotor and this will tell you where your wires need to be. You can't be 180 off on cam timing - pistons is tdc at 0 degrees and 180 degrees cam timing. The dist. only goes in the cam one way and the rotor is slotted to go on the shaft only one way.

Sounds like your wiring is wrong, check your firing order to make sure you do not have it backward.
