pop the cap on the distributor. Check inside to see if all the terminals are hooked properly.

wait, so is it firing and just doesnt have compression on those cylinders or what???

by the way, dont blame your friend that quick. removing the head wrong could cause it to warp, in which case it would have been fine before he took it off or whatever.

its getting fire the head i found out came off a block which i just seen was from hell... the rings on it are shot so i think the only reason it even held compression to that motor was cause it warped to the block this is a fresh built bottom end an i havnt cut a corner besides this damn head which yea i should of had decked thats my bad from trusting a friend but i think its possible bent valves an extremely warped it makes no since i have no check engine light an i'm getting fuel and spark but only two cylinders are firing?

Man, you drop tons of money on a stroked Darten sleeved block and don't even have the head pressure tested or checked for straightness on the mating surface, much less a valve job or replace valve seals, yikes.

If your getting spark and fuel to each cylinder, that only leaves compression, do a compression test. And how are you tuning this beast?

Please work on your punctuation so we can understand what your talking about.

i'm tuning s100b, its a boosted build, i know the head came from a friend who i thought i could trust, and i dont have the tools for the compression check. i'm taking a spare head i have thats in great condition an have it milled an decked smooth pressured check an a valve adjustent. i'm just checkin if a warped head could make these symptoms?

tony palo shop is down the street literally an he is goin to tune the monster when its done just tryin to get it running right with stock cams an break it in NA jsut right now......... right now i'm pullin my teeth for not milling the head the friend sold me....

did the comp check the head that was on there was fucked we all got a laugh when i took the intake off an seen this friend of mine tried to port his own head it looked like with a air chizzle....... so i took my stock head up to my shop had it decked and a valve adjustmen, and put everything back together. timing is dead on an the spark plug wires were put back in by the book but the car just back fires when we try to start it???? i wish i had a stock dizzy on this but its a msd so i dont know if the msd is being gay or what???

it sounds like its 180 when i heard the back fire but i checked the plug wires an there in the right order is it possible to stab a dizzy 180 an have it flush against the head?

Did you try to swap these plugs? It might not be the problem but they're right beside each other and are identical plugs. I've made that mistake before while doing swaps.

Yeah, that's exactly what it will do.

I really don't remember which code it throws. Did you try to just swap them and see if it works? It should only take a minute to do it.
