Buddy club vtec controller help
i have a buddy club vtec controller for a soch vtec. i dont have a p28 computer for it but i was wondering if i still hooked it up to the vtec solenoid would it work, just wondering for now. also what are the gray wire and yellow wire for. im guessing it's for the wire on the soleniod. also how would you set up the vtec engagement on the buddy club controller.
You are way better off selling it and just getting the car tuned, especially if you have any modification done to the engine (cold air intake and ebay header don't count as modz)
If it is a stock engine, then you definitely don't need a vtec controller, it's set at where it is because that's probably where it makes the most power.
If this is a modified engine (pistons, cams, good header, intake manifold, etc) then you are still better off getting it tuned. Vtec controllers are looked at as "bandaids" becuase they simply activate the solenoid without adding any extra fuel, which is bad
