Default Need with problem around 7000 rpm

I have a 92 civic hatchback with a b16a2 stock motor. When I'm in first and second gear around 7,000 RPM and up the car slows down and takes off(jerking feeling over and over) constantly until I shift into second gear. When I'm in second gear it has the same problem. What is going wrong? Third, fourth, and fifth gear is fine. I recently change my alternator if it helps.
