unbegoddamnbelievable!

you are a ****** nutcase to run your motor WITH a pen in the oilpan!!

oh well, you can cut a big hole into your oilpan, find the pen, remove it, and replace the hole with a big patch of scrap metal and JB Weld, yep scrap metal, because that is what your motor will become if you do not get the pen out asap!

imagine if the oil is hot enough to melt the pen or if any parts of the pen are flying around with the crank or if the pen pokes a hole in your oil pickup or.. man there are too many horror stories.

are you pulling our leg?

You messed up man. Now that you started the motor there is no telling where it went. Should have waited before you did that.

Its just laying the pan for sure. Thats just an oil galley and it will drop straight down to the pan. I would definantly pull the pan and get it but to be honest it wont hurt a thing short term. There is a screen over the pickup and the rotating assembly is covered by a windayge tray. Just get a jack soon and take it out.

I agree with the messages saying the pen is in the oil pan. There really is no way into the combustion chamber or coolant chamber unless you had the head off (to the best of my knowledge). I would make that friend who dropped it take the pan off and retreive the pen. Make sure that you watch him though cause anyone clumsy enough to drop a pen into the oil return hole might screw up a simple procedure like removing an oil pan. Also you'll want to make sure that he actually finds the pen and doesn't just sleep under the car for 30 minutes then puts dirty oil on another pen and hands it to you then drinks a cold beer from your frig.

i droped a valve spring retainer clip into the head a few months ago when installing skunk2 springs on a friends ITR but anyways. we took the oil pan off. and get a air compressor and blew into the oil holes on the head. between the valve springs. with a tray on the bottom of the car and what do you know, the clip blew out. we tryed running oil through the holes but nothign happend but the air compressor blew it right out. give that a try!
