Default Is my Timing off

This is a lsvtec with a LS timing belt and water pump...Is my timing off??????

thats the funniest thing i heard in a while man. how do u even know the motors at tdc? also i hope you got a vtec oil pump in that beast.

Looks to me like the camera was shaking when you took the picture...

I can't see the little dimples out at the sprocket teeth. The 'up' arrows are only approximate, those dimples are the REAL timing marks. Besides, I can't see the crankshaft pulley either.

Providing your crank is 100% at TDC then yeah your timing is off.

Regardless of the position of the crank, its clear those gears arent aligned!!!

I assumed the crank was at TDC. If thats the funiest thing you have heard in a while I would hate to spend a day in your shoes.

Very much so.
Honda motors are refered to as "interference" engines, meaning if something like timing is thrown off, moving parts WILL collide. You're lucky you didnt bend any valves, I lucked out the same way and there seems to be about a 50% chance of fuckn **** up when having a timing belt slip.... but yeah having them off that much WILL cause low compression, failed startup, and a for-sure-not-running-car.

one tooth off wont make the pistons contanct the valves....unless of course he has some very big pistons.

Now that it starts it is leaking oil....I THink it is coming out of the HG.....and the LSVTEC line....on the good side is that it is fast....well faster then my ep3.....I need some info on what to do about the leaks

did you plug the head for the stock oil passage
maybe have your headgasket upside down?
