Default My flywheel bolts are different lengths...

Topic says it all. The engine is an D16A1 from an 87 Integra.

The shorter ones have "AT" stamped into the heads. There are 2 long ones and 4 short ones. Did Honda do this for balancing reasons?

I am about to have my whole rotating assembly balanced, so I guess (?) order doesn't matter since it will be taken into account.

Thanks,
Sonny

They should all be the same size. All auto bolts are shorter then manual ones

I thought that the AT might stand for Auto, but this engine came from a car with a manual tranny. I pulled it myself. Hmmm...I guess this means that someone worked on the engine/tranny before I did.

No biggie...I'll just buy new ones. Thanks for the response!

The auto tranny equipped CRV motor I bought a while back had "AT" on all the flexplate bolts. I bought all new manual tranny ones.

dont use the at bolts if you are using it on manual tranny. the at is for auto transmissions

I'm just going to buy a set of 6 new ones. The heads on these are a bit rounded off anyway. Whoever worked on this thing before I got it gets a .

Thanks,
Sonny

Yeah, that **** look pretty bad.

AT does stand for automatic.

Putting in the clutch?
