Chit looks cool! How would you clean it out? Pop the top? Are the brass fittings screwed on from the inside and outside? here's a beer for the work

thanx..

the fittings are screwed from outside.. i made the hole as big as the fitting and forced it in there.. so i basically tapped the PVC with the fitting. i put JBweld around the area. about the cleaning.. i dont know really. i just have that drain. it was practically free so i could use it for a while. and just scrap it.

I think the inlet should be in the bottom, that way it has to travel to the top, and oil will get caught up in the steel wool more. But in any case it is very impressive.

good point on the inlet... i was thinking about that. i might make another.

a friend brought up a good point.. if for some reason the pvc starts melting. the vapors are deadly. so ima either mount it no where near heat.. or just not mount it.

So you spent a bunch of time to find all the parts and then to build a ghetto (but functional) one when you could just buy an nhra legal Moroso catch can from summit racing for $26! But hey you did it yourself right?! Good for you.
