my brake question
i notice my brakes are no longer have firm feel. i suspect that its caz i need new rear pads but, anyways when i pump the brakes when the car is stoped like all the way down and up over and over i can hear air comin out like when u deflate a ball just woundering if this is normal my other cars dont seem to do this they alot newer.
no thats not good at all. definately get them checked right away..u dont wanna be driving out on the road then all of a sudden u hit the brakes and your car doesn't slow down/stop. most likely your losing hydraulic pressure in the system possibly the seals in the master cylinder have worn out. also could be your air brake booster that helps to built pressure in there. also your rubber brake lines might have corroded and stretched out allowing tiny air particles to get in the lines. since u live in new jersey this can happen more often due to the weather conditions/snow/road salt. either way get this checked asap.
spongy could just be your fluid got air or its old. does the pedal go to the floor or goes down more than before during normal driving?
change the fluid and booster
change the fluid and booster
yea i think i'll change the pads in the back and the fluid. i'll have someone check the booster for me if it goes bad ima convert to the gsr one sence i plan to do the gsr brake conversion.

Hi there, I would change the brake pads, and flush and bleed the brake fluid. Sounds like u may have air in the lines, and the fluid has aged. If u still have a pedal that feels soft and spongy and falls to the ground, replace the master cylinder first. Very rarely does one have to replace the power brake booster. Let me know how it goes! Good Luck!
If you have a bad booster, the pedal should be getting hard not softer or spongy. Pump up your brake pedal with the engine off until its hard, then start your car, it should sink, if it doesnt then its your booster.
