Brake Trouble Shooting
Okay my brakes were working fine till today. I drove my car about 5 mins then parked it to go into a store. When i got back in my car the brakes didn't work right. When i leave the car still the brakes work fine but when it is roling i have to pump them to get them to work right. I think i might have a leak or air in my line some how. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

If i may, i would suggest you bleed your brake lines. Air in the lines will cause it to do the things you discribed. So, bleed your brakes get back in the car and drive

no, it's not air in the system. air in the system would cause a consistant low brake pedal that seems like it's not really braking much...
BUT, you also said it's fine when you pump the brakes. that's an indication that one of the primary seals in the master cylinder is defective. to really diagnose which seal it is, you'll need a brake pressure tester, which like... most shops won't have.

now my brakes don't work at all. I think i may have a leak in a line to make it get air in the lines. If anyone has an idea of what to do please give me and post.

First of all check all of your soft brake hoses at each caliper and the lines at your rear drums if you have rear drums.
What you're describing sounds like you might have ripped a soft brake line at a caliper.
If all of your lines are fine, then look at your brake master cylinder on the driver's side of your firewall. They don't always leak where you can see it, but sometimes it will leak on your brake booster and eat the paint off it it.
If it's the brake master cylinder, but a new one from the Honda dealer, even though they are more expensive, and replace it. Bleed the brakes completely (it will take forever, espcially if you don't know how to bench bleed the master cylinder) and that should take care of the problem.

i am pretty sure it is the master cylinder now. It is eating the paint of the booster so i think it is the seal in that area. Thanx for the imput i will let you know how it comes out.
