Can adding an the msd blaster coil ss do anything? Any input is good. thanks

Depends on what mods you have, I got one since my stock coil crapped out and I get constant problems with it, wish I got anouther stock coil.

what kind of problems do you have with the blaster ss? Do you need to run an ignition box like the SCI when you use an external coil?

I should be more specific, most of the problems I had are because of the 'MSD power tip" which is used to modify the stock distributer cap to use with the external coil. I would definately recommend getting the genuine MSD dizzy cap.
Also the termials seem to be pretty crappy and corrode easily, I have to undo them and clean them every month or so so I don't get stranded somewhere with no spark.
You don't need a different ignition box to run an external coil, just a different cap and an external coil wire.

well i already have the msd cap. i thought the problems may have been caused my the external coil.

The corroding terminal problem was with the coil itself but they may have fixed that on newer ones

Have you tried using one of those dielectric type greases on your terminals? I would think that might help.

my block is bored out to 81.50mm, wiseco 12.1 shelf pistons, balance and blueprint you know stuff like that. the head is pnp itr valvetrain, toda spec b cams. chip p28 mugen program. some peeps say stock ignition is good enough but i just thought i would try just the coil itself and see what happens.
