ok guys i amd putting a d15 bottom end with a d16y8 head into a 96 civic, what do i do about the crank sensor ???? obd2 calls for a crank sensor but on the d15 bottom end doesnt have one. will an oil pump from a 96 fit on a 92-95 bottom end cause if it will i could do that and put the sensor on, i just need some advice on this??? help me guys..

can no one help me,???? man this place sucks???? so you all are basicly saying that when you did a minime you all were like **** the crank sensor??? come on guys i need some help

In everyone's defence, I doubt anyone knows for sure. The d15 is not the typical bottom end to use.
Options:
1) Try an OBD1 distributor, and do some wiring harness mods (would not recommend)
2) Try mounting a sensor on the d15 and hope that it fits
3) Scrap the d15 for a d16, stronger bottom end anyway
Where is the d16 that was in there originally?

I'd just say go with a stock p28 and wire up what you need to. Not sure why'd you want to keep it odb2. Then you dont have any worries with a crank sensor and only 1 o2 to worry about.

have you tried the tech forum. Integras use B series Engines. You might find people more knowledgeable about D series in another forum.
