Default Milage counter stopped counted

i figured this is the best section to post this,

the milage counter on the gauge cluster has stopped working, however, everything else is working perfectly.
Since the speed odometer is still working, then this means there is no cable to-transmission problems, and that the problem is within the gear unit of the milage counter.
Any ideas how/where to fix it up? i have the cluster out, and i have them parted out.
thanks

You may just have to open the cluster up and take a look at what is going on back there. The gears that move back there may have seized or broken...
