I have a 02 vw gti 337 with the 1.8T engine in it. The question is what is the max horsepower I can get out of my setup with out replacing piston, rods, ect... I currently have a boost controller, cat back exhaust, and cold air intake. My last question is what type of hps am I making if I turn up my controller to 14lbs of boost if my car normally gets 180hps.

Doesn't matter if you can smoke anyone, you are asking about vws on HONDA-TECH. As for your question, as far as I know those engines will handle nearly 20psi with stock internals. With the right tuning 300 should be easy. However, high hp number doesn't mean anything. You have to get that to the ground .
EDIT:You will need a quite a few more things, front mount intercooler, tuning method, etc...
