Default Main Shaft Bearing...

Ok, I just spent the last hour or so trying to get some info on the Mainshaft Bearing, Pilot Bearing and T/O bearing. I learned A LOT about these bearing of what they do and what could go wrong with them. My main concern is the mainshaft bearing. I read that it is not a pressed bearing. Is this correct? So if I was to replace the bearing, would it come right out or what?
Also the pilot bearing. I was reading that it is kinda hard to get in. People were using a wood block and a hammer to pound it in. Well, if its so hard to get in....How would I take it out? Could I find these bearing at Auto Zone or some local parts shop? Thanks for the help!!

If you are talking about a B series trans, which main shaft bearing are you talking about. Neither the front nor the back one are pressed on. I am sure you can get these at a parts store however I would order them from Honda. As for your pilot bearing lay the flywheel across a couple of 2x4s so that nothing is under the pilot. Find a socket that is about the same size as the outer part of the bearing and pound it out.

Find the bearings at slhondaparts.com or the like.

Throw the pilot bearing in the freezer the night before for an easier installation. I just use a socket around the same size as the outter race of the bearing, instead of a block wood.

The two bearings on the mainshaft are not pressed in - very easy to replace (input shaft bearing requires removal of the whole gear cluster though).
