im putting together a ls/vtec turbo set up. i contacted arias pistons (they were not friendly at all) and they say to run a ls piston. cp pistons says to run a gsr piston................................which do i use? i know that on a ls head the intake and exhaust valves are the same size, and on the gsr the intake valve is 2mm bigger. i really dont want to have to fly cut the piston i just want to order the right piston. any knowledge would be helpful thanks

 

What compression ratio are you looking for?

im lookin for a 9:0.1 compression

 

All of the aftermarket 9:1 turbo pistons will work for you.They all make the valve pockets larger than the vtec valves.

What bore are you using?? Thats the main thing. CP makes shelfed pistons for ls-vtecs but there 84mm+ bore for all motor, anything below they list for LS or GS-R arias just lists for the exact engine no matter the bore. Should have stayed all motor
