Default LS-Vtec oil lines thought.

I don't know if this has been done but i have a buddy that built a Ls-vtec from scratch. Instead of running the braided steal line he is running a brake piping line. I think that's the right name for it. Now he can bend it were he needs it and keep the line from moving and twisting in the engine bay. Also it wouldn't give any restictions in the oil line. Tell me what you guys think about that.

Sounds ok to me, as long as it doesn't leak, and is wide enough to provide enough flow.

Have fun bending that thing...whats wrong with the traditional Braided Stainless Steel???..its looks cooL!! Hard lines..bah ugly..oil doesnt need to hold that much pressure anyways..i dunno...
..make sure to give us pictures when hes done with it..!

i thought about doing mine in hard line when i first did it, use like 1/2" aluminum fuel line but the only problem i saw was going to be attaching it to some sort of threaded fitting, i didn't want to try and use a compression fitting, otherwise you'd have to have a short piece of rubber w/ hose clamps and that'd defeat the purpose. so i opted for the simple alternative.

Beleive it or not a grease gun line fits into the back of the engine block. Thats what I used for my turbo.

ummm.. alright...sorry..didnt mean to offend you..even tho i was suggesting it to him...from the way that you worded your post...sounds like youd rather pipe together some jack in the box straws then buy a oil line kit...if you really wanted to, you can put together your own SS line line for like 40 bucks..dunno how it looks but thats what my friend did..didnt bother to look at he oil line...til he told me later..after he closed his hood...
take it easy man...
dunno why soo many people tryin to soil my day when im actually having a pretty good one...(for once..)

one reason why people dont use the solid line is because of vibration causing leaks (i have seen it) and also from material hardening which causes breakage. your best bet is ss line. i think the ups and downs were discussed before id try searching for it.
