Default LS VTEC oil block plug

I know this is a newb question, but it's been awhile since I prepped a ls vtec setup. I'm aware that the internal oil feed port in the head needs to be plugged. However, do I need to modify or remove the plug that lies between cylinder 2 and 3 in the block?

No, that must remain as it supplies oil to the entire head.

PS - It is an orifice / oil control jet and not a plug in the block.
