Ls rods in D-series motor.

I want to put some ls rods in my d16y8 but am not sure if the black needs to be notched. Does anyone know if it does or will i just be able to out them in. Thanks

You can do it. Just needs some modifying to the wrist pin or something, dont remember. Do a search to find more info.

No, the block does not have to be notched to make these fit.
You will have to get about 1mm taken off the small end of the rod though.

very simple mod, any machine shop can do it, and it doesnt change any geometry either since the rods are the same length.

What is the R/S like on a D16??? Sorrie I don't work with SOHC motors that often?? hehe

I believe the same rod length, only way stronger/ thicker.
