Default Knock sensor problem...

yeah.. i just swapped in my b18c into my 92 dx hatch.. at first i was using a p28 ECU which disables the knock sensor but for some reason my ecu is not workin rite.. so i use a p72 ecu which looks for a knock sensor.. now i get a code (code 23) which is a knock sensor problem.. Now i got a new p28 ecu.. and im wondering wat will happen if my knock sensor is not hooked up on da block.. will it do anything to my engine like performance wise.. thanks in advance...

There is no Knock Sensor circuit in tthe P28. So your P28 won't be looking for the KS, having said that you can leave the plug cliped in and call it a day. You can leave the KS wire pluged in as well. Is your KS wire in the correct pin. Bottom clip on the interior harness at the shock tower and in position D3 on the pigtail clips that plug to the ecu. This is the far right harness medium in size. Count over two from the top.
