Default Eliminating knock sensor...grounding isnt working.

Been throwing a Knock Sensor code since my swap. Im not having much luck getting rid of it. Searched and found splicing a ground into the wire will disable the KS code, it delays the CEL a bit longer, but still comes on. Tried grounding everywhere from the plug itself, half way down the wire, and also where it plugs into the ecu, no luck.

Anyway, is there other ways of bypassing the knock sensor besides grounding or having the ECU chipped?

Thanks-

i dont think there is a way to disable it unless you make a false knock sensor to fool ECU. some kind of little circuit that simulates a knock sensor.

You can do it wiht a chipped ecu.

Also, for the second poster, I'm in CT, and provide this service.

you have acouple of options. One when you tried grounding the circuit did you have the sensor plugged into the harness. That is one way. You may also take out the far right bolt on the alternator bracket...weld a nut that will screw onto the end of the sensor...replace the bolt with the sensor nut welded to the bolt and sensor screed in and plug it up as if it were the oem location. It will be a fill functioning ks now
