knock sensor w/ p28 ecu?

knock sensor w/ p28 ecu?
i have a cx hatch, and an obd1 b18c1, with a p28 ecu. do i need to run knock sensor? will it throw a code if i dont? i wasnt sure if the sohc had them. thanks for the input!

when it reachs time for vtec to kick in it will not ingage unless the ecu sees the knock sensor there. there is a way around it though. just chip the p28 with uberdata

no need to cut the wire, it doesn't matter if it's there or not. the P28 doesn't look for it.
Personally I'd leave it just in case you want to use a P72 or P30 in the future. (both have knock sensor ability)
