knock sensor w/ p28 ecu?

Default knock sensor w/ p28 ecu?

i have a cx hatch, and an obd1 b18c1, with a p28 ecu. do i need to run knock sensor? will it throw a code if i dont? i wasnt sure if the sohc had them. thanks for the input!

when it reachs time for vtec to kick in it will not ingage unless the ecu sees the knock sensor there. there is a way around it though. just chip the p28 with uberdata

I'm pretty sure p28's dont look for the KS, chipped or not

no need to cut the wire, it doesn't matter if it's there or not. the P28 doesn't look for it.

Personally I'd leave it just in case you want to use a P72 or P30 in the future. (both have knock sensor ability)

Good Info... I think I'll start looking for a P30 instead.

what is the advantage of a p30? thats b16 right?
