Knock Sensor Code, problems?
IF the car is giving a KS cel. Will the car go into limp mode, retard timming, add fuel or anything like that?
The motor is an LS/vtec. Ecu is p72 or p30 (have both). Short of getting a chipped ecu is there a way other than adding a KS to make the code go away?
Thanks.

i believe that it is code 41 but the ls does not come with knock sensor so what you can do is weld or jb weld a nut big enough for the knock sensor and just place it next to the number 2 cylinder and just run the wire to the ecu...i forget what pin sorry
What I want to know is. If the there is no Knock sensor (ls block) and there is one in the ECU (p30).
Will the car go into limp mode? Retard timming? or Add fuel? Or a combination of all?

if the ecu looks for it you'll just have a CEL. No limp mode or anything. I have been running mine without KS for like 5 months now. It is kinda nice, the CEL doesnt come on until it warms up so I wait to beat on my car, until I see the CEL
Some cars/ecus it will not allow vtec to engauge but I'm not having that problem
