Does ELD engine code give a CEL??

Does ELD engine code give a CEL??
There seems to be some debate on this. I may not be able to handle it but...I WANT THE TRUTH!!!
I have a JDM ecu looking for a ELD sensor I dont have. I also am getting a knock sensor code. I dont believe the knock sensor is wired into my harness either. So if ELD code shouldnt cause a CEL and I wire in the knock sensor all should be well?

I dont see any affect in the engine either. I fixed it by taking the bulb out 
I am selling my car and was hoping to try to fix it if possible. Isnt there some kind of ecu chip that could disable eld and knock sensor?
