Knock sensor?
i rebuilt my friends GSR with JE 11:1 pistons, and sometimes the thing throws the Knock sensor code, well it throws it everytime all the time
should i retard timing a bit, will that fix the problem? anything else i can do

Is your KS wired up??? That's the most common problem for a constant knock CEL... What is his timing at?? You should easily be fine even at up to ~18 degrees with 11.0:1 and good gas... Good Luck
