Default Kaaz LSD

I haven't seen much discussion on these units as of late, and I'd like to get some current feedback as I search through the archives.

The honda application is a FF 1.5 way clutch type LSD, correct?

Chatter: how bad is it?

Application: Do you feel it is more suitable for street or strip?

General opinions if you have one of these units.

Thank you. And yes I am familiar with the quaife offerings, if you want to discus them start your own thread.

dude, Quiafe all the way man!! J/K.
from what ive collected of the kaaz 1.5 unit, chatter occurs but is bearable. i feel it is more useful in drag but dont limit yourself. it woud be very useful in any type of racing in my opinion. overhauls must be a bitch though

IMHO, more suitable for strip, which is why I choose mine.

Taking corners from 4 way stops, I get some tire chirps from the inside tire.

If your gonna daily drive the car, get a Quaife. I plan on buying one myself soon.

Chatter is not bad, but it is there. Esp when pulling out of the driveway after car has sat overnight. I would HATE to hear the chatter with it near zero outside.

Yeah, I just had a tranny put in my car with a Kaaz LSD. Still breaking it in, so haven't really tested the performance. I did notice after the 30 min of break in, that when I changed the fluid, it looked clean, no clutch material like they claim.

The chatter is mostly only there when the engine/tranny fluid is cold. Becomes quiet once up to operating temp.
