Just making sure. How do I use a compression tester?
I got a compression tester to see if my ringlands are gone. directions say remove the spark plug screw in the compression tester and let the engine crank for at least four compression strokes or until the compression reading stops rising? so does that mean turn on the car? the directions are specified for a carburated car so it says somthing about leaving the carburetor throttle plates to the wot position?
This is on a B18b. so heres what i got so far:
remove spark plug(1 at a time per test)
screw in tester
start car? and let the needle stop?
depressurize
repeat step for each cylinder

you need to disable the fuel system or injectors so that they wont spray fuel.
take all the spark plugs out to do the test.
test it when the car is warm
hold the throttle plate open
crank around 7 times
take all the spark plugs out to do the test.

How do I "crank around 7 times?"
So I remove all the spark plugs at the same time?
and somehow hold the throttle plate open
