I just put a jdm d15b motor in my 92 hatch it was non vtec d15b7 the car is running really good but i do not think vtec is working i am also throwing a check engine light on i ran the code to see what is was and it came back code 21 vtec spool selanoid will this make vtec not work and how can i fix it

 

is this something that know one knows anything about cause everytime i post my problem i get no answer i thought this was a fourm to get help and it seems to me this site is bs...........

 

How about searching before jumping to the assumption that "this site is bs" the reason youre throwing the code is because you probably didnt wire up vtec correctly

lol ITS THE SAME CONCEPT!

 

i am using a p28 so i herd that there is no other wiring that needs to be done than the a4 and d6 i have all the wiring right and still the code 21 will not go away and i tested the vtec with +and- power and it clicks

 

did you add the pressure switch, because generally the D15B's didn't come with it,

 

Some one told me to wire the pressure switch and the selanoid together to a4 and then ground d6 to i tried it other than the way its is supposed to be witch i had it and my check engine light went off for the first time i took it for a ride and vtec was def working and still no light but after driving for like 15mins the light came back on and no vtec should i keep it wired like that or should i put it back the way i had it
