Can the cam caps from a B16a Be used on a ITR head or is it true that each Honda Head has its own special caps.Reason being is that I have a ITR head that is missing the caps but I have a B16 Head that I could use the caps off of if it is possible and I you can't just get the caps from Honda.

 

Yes, you can reuse your B16 cam journals (caps) on the ITR head - but it would be best if you had the original ITR cam journals since it they were used and broken-in on that specific head. It's always best to have the original parts when it comes to cam journals/crank journals/rod caps/possibly the crank girdle too/anything caps....

 

you should have the head and the caps sent to a machine shop to have them checked. they might not be perfect and you might ruin the head and cams if they are not line bored perfetly.

you cannot buy those separatly from the dealer........you have to buy a complete head for that.......

 

Not only that but like the crank journals they are line bored, the smallest deviance could mean bad news for a crank or cam.
