Integra Gauge Cluster Swap OBDI incompatability??
Has anyone tried to put a USDM Type R gauge cluster into their 94-95 Integra, When I put it in my GSR, the gas gauge went all the way up, then when I drove it went all the way down, i thought it was my cluster at first, but my friend also bought a USDM Type R cluster with his 94 teg and it did the same thing?? is this another wire incompatability?? anyone know away around this???
...and does anyone know how to roll the milage ahead?? id love my milage to match somehow

Re: Integra Gauge Cluster Swap OBDI incompatability?? (speedracex)
There is a wiring difference between the 1994-97and 1998-01 Acura Integra's gauge cluster.
Here is a wiring layout of the 1998-01:
1>16=left to right
01=yellow/white=fuel gauge unit
02=light green/red=door-open indicator light
03=
04=blue/white=low fuel sensor
05=
06range=maintenance reminder light/tcm/ecm/cruise control unit
07=green=tailgate-open indicator light
08=red/blue=seat belt reminder light/driver's seat belt switch
09=red=dash brightness controller
10=red/black=fuse for gauge light
11=black/yellow=charging system light
12=white/green=hazard warning light
13=green/blue=left turn signal switch
14=green/yellow=right turn signal switch
15=red/green=fuse for high beam indicator light
16=green/red=brake system light/parking brake switch
here is the 13 pin layout.
1>13=from left to right.
01=pink=hazard warning light>harzard warning switch
02=pink=maintenance reminder light>maintenance reminder unit
03=
04=yellow/blue= fuse?
05=red/blue=cruise control unit/light
06=black
07=yellow/green=engine coolant temperature gauge(ect)
08=
09=white/blue=charging system light>alternator
10=
11=yellow/red=low engine oil pressure indicator light>engine oil pressure switch
12=green/orange=malfunction indicator lamp
13=blue=ignition control module>tachometer drive unit
1994-97
B1 = seat belt reminder
B2 = door open indicator
B3 = fuel gauge unit
B4 = low fuel light
B5 =
B6 = speedometer drive circuit
B7 = hatch (trunk) open indicator
B8 = abs indicator light
B9 = gauge lights (from fuse)
B10 = gauge lights (from dimmer)
B11 = charging system light (from battery)
B12 =
B13 = left turn indicator
B14 = right turn indicator
B15 = high beam indicator
B16 = parking brake light
D1 =
D2 = maintenance reminder

D4 = cruise control (from fuse box)
D5 = cruise control (from cruise control unit)
D6 = ground for high beam indicator
D7 = coolant temp gauge
D8 =

[b] I was working with two different generation clusters simultaneously, so after figuring out the differences between the pin wiring of the gas gauge and the seat belt I believe, it was all down hill. Good luck

Yeah, it's something where you have to play with one of the beginning pinouts. The yellow/white one I believe. Unfortunately, I would have to get behind my cluster to check which one I switched out. It involves switching the fuel pinout one or two sections to the next pin location. I will have to look at it later.

I am having a similar problem, I am going to try just swapping the gauges and CF bezel onto my old cluster
