Default Gauge cluster problems!

I bought a new gauge cluster the other day and put it in and there is allot of things wrong with it.

1. Temperature gauge doesn’t climb past the lowest point

2. The fuel gauge only climbs when the car is stopped

3. And the seat belt light stays on indefinitely

Is the gauge cluster itself F’ed up or are different year Integra’s not compatible with each other? I have a 1995 gsr and I think this came out of a newer integra. None of these problems happened with my old gauges. Any help is appreciated!

The guages themselves are compatible, the green film on the back of the clusters is not. You need to just take the individual guages out of your new cluster and bolt them on the old cluster or you can take the green film off of your old cluster and swap it with the green film on the new one.

I think I will do the green film technique, how come this works this way? And Also how easy it to take the green film off? I dont want to rip it!

If you don't want to rip it, swap the individual gauges. You will have to unbolt each one to remove the film anyways. Make sure to swap the cluster bezel too.

So I swapped the green film and now the problems have changed.

Door ajar is now my seat belt light

Fuel gauge works but temp. dosent at all.

and the Seat bealt light still stays on

I am pretty sure I may have the screws in wrong places, what long screws go where and which short ones go where, a picture would be nice

Yeah, you must not get the screws mixed up. They are gauge specific. I can't tell you now since I have to go to work. I can find out when I get home later tonight.
