IM port polishing truth
Ran across this article I think you should look at if you're still tellling people that turbulence in the intake manifold is a good thing on Honda engines. Turbulence in the IM is good if you have a mixture of air and fuel in the intake manifold, because it stirs up the fuel that likes to follow the edges of the runners. However, most import fuel injected engines have the injectors after the intake manifold, so it is only air travelling down the intake runners. Air flows better w/out turbulence. So you should polish the intake up to the point that the fuel is injected, and then allow for turbulence.
This is a clear example of old V8/carburetor knowledge getting mixed up with modern I4 knowledge. This is why I'd be wary of letting an old engine builder port/polish my Honda engine.
