Default How do you polish an intake manifold?

Someone was saying I should polish the intake manifold of my GSR motor before dropping it into my Cx. Just wondering if this is necessary and if so, how's it done?

Thanks!

I've been advised not to polish the IM after the fuel injectors. By doing this, the fuel from the air/fuel mixture begins to loose anitomization (sp?) which is not good for power. Can anyone back this up?

your right on your theory but no gas get's injected before the end of the manifold. the injectors are mounted in the intake mani. at the head but they are pointed straight into the intake port.

oh and for the original question. you really don't need to go to all the trouble of polishing it. just get in there and smooth everything out (take the casting lines out, hit it with a cartridge roll and finish it with the sandblaster). Unless your experienced with porting, don't go trying to change the size or shape of any of the runners.
