Default Idle problems

When i give the car gas when it's in neutral, the idle will go up then go down slowly, then go down natraully, then back again then down normal. Here's the thing, everything idles good with the IACV not connected. I already cleaned the IACV also.

your when your IACV is disconnected the car idles correctly? Have you check the vaccum on the car? maybe you have a cracked air hose. also a funky idle can come from air in your cooling system, but since you havnt messed with that you should be ok. when my distributor was going bad cause my idle to move around. just a few ideas

Nick</TD></TR></TABLE>well i just got the motor in the car. it was running good before i dropped it in though. I bled the cooling system already though. What do you mean by check vacuum? One thign i noticed while i was driving today is at idle my tach would jump from under 1 to alittle above 1 but the engine wouldn't rev up and my VAFC would read 800 something rpm. I read that ignitor could be the cause for that. But why would it idle perfect with the iacv disconnected?
